DESCRIPTION

The Selling Partner Fees team owns the end-to-end fees experience for two million active third party sellers. We own the fee strategy, fee seller experience, fee accuracy and integrity, fee science and analytics, and we provide scalable technology to monetize all services available to third-party sellers.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager Technical to improve our understanding of third party seller economics worldwide. In this role you will create tools to support the development of models to understand seller economics at scale. You will gather seller insights through direct engagement with sellers and partnership with other Amazon teams. You will measure the impact of fee and policy changes on seller economics, and influence our fee setting process. You will partner with internal stakeholders to develop new products and programs to help third-party sellers grow their business in the Amazon store. You will own the roadmap in terms of product and model development to improve the coverage and accuracy of the seller economics models. You will work closely with Economists, Data Scientists, Strategy Analysts, and Product Managers.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, proven data analysis capabilities, and strong business acumen. They will be comfortable with ambiguity, and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop an automated and holistic view of Amazon’s third-party seller’s economics.
  • Build internal products to analyze changes in seller economics, support development of new programs, and influence fee pricing strategy.
  • Drive initiatives across Amazon team to improve seller economics.
  • Collaborate with economists and data scientists to support the development of econometrics and machine learning models.
  • Manage up to three direct reports to expand the products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• B.A. / B.S. in a quantitative field.

• At least 4 years of experience in a data-driven product management related role.

• Experience solving complex and highly ambiguous business challenges.

• Domain knowledge about e-commerce businesses.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree (MBA, M.S. or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with SQL and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
• Experience working with data scientists and economists to develop machine learning and econometrics models.
