Solutions Architect – Amazon File

Our mission: To be Earth's most customer-centric company.

Job summary
Do you want to join a team of creative and talented engineers, product managers, and solutions architects who are building and operating a world class high-performance storage service? The Amazon File team (Amazon EFS and Amazon FSx) is growing fast and we need your help to facilitate the explosive growth in file storage across both cloud-native and traditional enterprise data!

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Amazon File service team as a technical leader, advocate, and evangelist for one of the fastest growing services at AWS.

Amazon file services (Amazon EFS and Amazon FSx) makes it easy and cost effective to launch, run, and scale feature-rich, high-performance file systems in the cloud. It supports a wide range of workloads with its reliability, security, scalability, and broad set of capabilities. Amazon FSx is built on the latest AWS compute, networking, and disk technologies to provide high performance and lower TCO. And as a fully managed service, it handles hardware provisioning, patching, and backups — freeing you up to focus on your applications, your end users, and your business. Today, we provide four widely-used file systems: NetApp ONTAP, OpenZFS, Windows File Server, and Lustre. Amazon EFS is a fully managed service that makes it easy to set up and scale shared file storage in the AWS Cloud. It’s designed for a wide variety of use cases: data analytics, video rendering, genomics analysis, web serving, DevOps, content management, and home directories, to name a few.

As a Solutions Architect with Amazon file, you will build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey.

You will be a member of a team that owns the overall technical relationship between Amazon file services and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging, mission-critical projects. Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of Amazon file features.

In this role you will be responsible for thinking big, setting direction and priorities, driving definitions, delivering results, growing customer adoption, and ensuring we exceed all customer expectations. You will need to dive deep on all our Amazon file systems, creating reference architectures, quick starts, solutions, blog posts, online videos, presentations, whitepapers, and other technical content to evangelize and educate others on the Amazon file services. You will also have opportunities to share technical content in front of customers by delivering workshops, and presenting at meetups, summits, re:Invent, and other public and private settings.

This position within the Amazon file team represents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within one of the fastest growing services at AWS and help shape the technology, product, and business.
