Join the Amazon Payment Services Product team! We are revolutionizing payments for customers across the world, processing billions of dollars in payments in over 150 countries. We build and operate the infrastructure that is a foundation for every Amazon business and power the most secure and trusted commerce experiences.

We are looking for a talented product leader to join us as the Head of Healthcare Payments, to lead a new initiative transforming the way patients, providers and payers interact with Amazon to process payments. In this role, you will establish the product vision, define the product roadmap and own business performance for our healthcare clients. This role will work closely with dedicated engineering teams to establish the business and launch new products. You will also have the opportunity to work with a range of business and technical teams to accelerate Amazon’s growth. It doesn’t get bigger than this.

You are a good fit if:
• You understand Healthcare Payments industry, revenue cycle management and can articulate a vision for this critical sector.
• You have experience in building, launching and managing exceptional products, and can raise the bar on customer-focused (i.e. providers, patients and payers) thinking.
• You can dive into technical details and inspire engineers to deliver on a product vision and strategy
• You understand the business drivers, systems and technologies behind your product, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons for architectural decisions.
• You are a self-starter who is able to work in an environment of high complexity and ambiguity, breaking down the big picture into actionable goals.
• You think long-term and can balance diverse and conflicting customer needs, and converge on outcomes that earn customer loyalty.
• You are able to communicate your ideas and vision through well-researched working-backwards documents like Press Releases and FAQs.
• You have persistence and grit, never hesitate to challenge the status quo with data and metrics.

You will be responsible for:
• Managing the lifecycle of healthcare payments technology products and features (customer experience, vision, strategy).
• Owning the business strategy and technical feature priorities through data-driven contributions, working directly with engineering managers, principal engineers and product leaders
• Identifying new opportunities that align with product and strategic growth of the company.
• Driving product discussions, commissioning market research, usability studies and focus groups.
• Developing product plans with clear measurable success criteria, using mechanisms and metrics (KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness).
• Partnering with external partners to deliver on the product strategy and vision.

Successful applicants will have experience defining products, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of stakeholders. You’ll also need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company, both in writing and in meetings.

On this team, you’ll get to wear many hats, work fast and smart, and iterate quickly. We are looking for someone who is ready to take ownership of a strategic product for a new business vertical at Amazon tackling a very interesting and challenging opportunity.

Day to Day:
• Drive the product roadmap while continuing to identify opportunities to accelerate feature delivery and rate value for clients (internal) and customers
• Collaborate with internal Amazon businesses around the globe to define solutions to serve their purchase experience and payment needs
• Work backwards from the customers and internal clients to build, develop and manage the product road-map for your services and features
• Collaborate with, Sr. Engineers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to bring new innovations to the platform
• Define, track and analyze metrics related to overall performance, client metrics, operational metrics and service adoption.


  • 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition

Basic qualifications
• Minimum of 8+ years of product management and/or business development experience in technology
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience translating customer needs into engineering requirements and delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Minimum of 5 years of experience building and leading diverse product teams
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience communicating and presenting project status updates to senior management
• Experience working in an operational setting, include field operations or operational planning functions
• Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter


• MBA and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience communicating with senior management
• Demonstrated ability to lead globally with influence rather than authority
• Demonstrated success when delivering programs or solutions for external customers
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve ambiguous problems
• Demonstrated ability to achieve program success through influence and partnership
• Experience in product, program, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
• Strong data analysis skills; the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisions
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at varying levels in the organization
• Experience in B2B (Healthcare, Treasury, Insurance) and B2B (e-Commerce, Retail, Digital) Payment industry verticals
