Job summary
Are you passionate about developing websites serving millions of pages of content daily with super low-latency and very high availability? The Lift Tech Team, part of Amazon’s Global Talent Management organization, owns one of the core products used by all managers, senior leaders, directors, and VPs to review and calibrate their employees and we need your help to improve this process.

Our strategic expansion has opened several opportunities to join our team. You will join our community of Seattle-based and remote engineers and contribute to defining and raising technical standards across our organization. You will work on Amazon’s hardest problems exerting your technical vision while building highly scalable, architecturally sound solutions that are aligned with our business needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience with various industry analytics and monitoring platforms.
  • Machine learning experience.
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
  • Experience of building solutions using AWS technologies.
