The Autodesk Impact team supports the company’s impact strategy in three ways. We support Autodesk operations to be sustainable. We partner with customers to create positive impact. And we invest in emerging solutions to advance our industries. This role reports into the Director of Impact for Customer Experience, in service of the second objective, alongside an international team of impact advisors, technology experts, industry strategists, marketers and change makers working with our global network of customers, industry organizations, technology partners, entrepreneurs, students, and educators.

Position Overview

99% of CEOs of large companies understand that sustainability is key to their future business and 75% of CEOs are investing in digital technologies to help them become more sustainable. Still, the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals laid out by the United Nations. We believe we can help close this gap. The Autodesk Impact team is seeking someone with a gift for research, analysis and strategic thinking to join our team as a Customer Impact Researcher and Strategist. This position will become the authority on Autodesk customers striving for and achieving positive impact, their motivations, needs, and impediments. The person in this role will continually strive to understand how customers can be supported by Autodesk to become more sustainable. They will analyze Autodesk efforts to support customers’ sustainability outcomes to learn what works and why. And with these insights, this researcher and strategist will recommend and help implement strategies to accelerate the progress of customers and the above industries to become sustainable.

The ideal candidate will have unquenchable curiosity, be excited by opportunities to learn directly from customers, can spend hours mining and analyzing datasets by proven and novel methods, and can recognize valuable insights jumping off (or hidden on) a page.

Responsibilities

  • Mine quantitative and qualitative information by proven and novel methods to acquire insights about our customers and industries or influence the efforts of others to achieve this
  • Design and oversee 3rd party research engagements to understand our customers, their industries, and sustainability trends
  • Network internally and externally to inform strategies to support customers to meet their sustainability challenges and contribute to the overall success of the Autodesk Impact Strategy
  • Present data and insights in compelling ways to influence stakeholders
  • Influence prioritization of work and allocation of resources toward highest value activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Find insights within information through proven and novel methods of research and data analysis
  • Make data supported recommendations based on return on investment where the return is always impact, and investment can be any constrained resource, e.g. money, time, effort
  • Ability to see the link between high-level objectives and detailed practices
  • Communicate well verbally, in writing and through infographics
  • Ability to focus curiosity on a purpose, able to avoid analysis paralysis
  • Build effective relationships and connections across diverse people, concepts, and settings
  • Ability to work well virtually across a global organization
  • Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning
  • Familiarity with tools like PowerBi, Qlikview and Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inside knowledge of, at least, one industry that Autodesk serves: architecture, MEP, structural or civil engineering, construction, industrial machinery, automotive, building product manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, aerospace
  • Familiarity with the drivers and impediments to the private-sector becoming more sustainable
  • Ability to travel up to two weeks per quarter

Target Pay for this Position (Colorado): 100 K
