Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a self-motivated Content Design Intern to join our Entertainment and Media Solutions (EMS) team as an intern SDK writer focused on ShotGrid, our world class production management software.

Join an experienced team of content creators and designers who work every day to make our tools easier to learn and use. We’re looking for an energetic, talented, and curious individual who has a knack for organizing technical information, exceptional communication skills, and a flair for the creative.

In this position, you’ll be working closely with lead Content Designers and developers to create and update developer-focused video tutorial content and documentation. You’ll coordinate with our developer user community to facilitate testing of the existing developer documentation and work to iteratively improve the content based on feedback. You’ll be responsible for creating content that is instrumental to helping our developer users achieve their technical goals.

Responsibilities

  • Recreate a series of video tutorials designed to help ShotGrid developers get up and running with our APIs and SDKs
  • Administer user testing on the existing developer documentation to gather insights, then make improvements to the learning content in order to improve ease of use
  • Deliver learning content in multiple formats, including text, images, and video, and create awareness of new content via social media as well as Autodesk platforms
  • Create high quality images to update the existing developer documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors degree (minimum in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Professional Writing, Technical Writing
  • Competence in reading & writing code, including Python
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, video scripting and development
  • Effective design skills, including ability to administer unmoderated usability testing
  • Proven ability to research and understand complex and technical
  • subjects, and present them to others in a clear, approachable manner
  • Avid interest in tech, especially 3D, special effects, film and games
