Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Data Platform and Services (DPS) team. As a Senior Data Analyst on this team, you will work with operational and product teams across Autodesk to ensure their data is accurately published on the data platform for self-serve analytical consumption. You will partner with a dedicated set of business domains to architect, build and maintain efficient and reliable data products with tools like dbt, Airflow and Snowflake. In addition, this team establishes and promotes data standards and best practices across data producers, leading efforts to make data an integral part of decision making.

  • Become an expert in Autodesk’s data and business processes
  • Build and maintain efficient and reliable data products (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake) to power self-serve analytical consumption
  • Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to advise on optimal data models for their use cases
  • Serve as a data steward and subject-matter expert for a dedicated set of business domains
  • Influence strategy and drive execution of our roadmap delivering self-serve analytics at scale
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to other data analysts to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and a high bar for quality

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, engineer or scientist
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience using data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
  • Expertise with 3+ years of data modeling and ETL/ELT (dbt preferred, pipeline development a plus)
  • Experience working in Python to perform statistical analysis and data visualizations
  • Experience building dashboards in a modern business intelligence tool (Looker, PowerBI)
  • Confidence applying software engineering principals (testing, version control, code reviews, CI/CD, etc.) to the analytical development workflow
  • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences

  • Possess a strong attention to detail and care deeply about data quality
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems autonomously
