Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for an experiencedCloud DeveloperEngineer to join the Business Process team within our Entertainment and Media Solutions division. The Business Process team is focused on building cloud services that help improve and automate both production management and content creation processes for small to large scale projects within the film, TV and gaming industries. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on the productivity of thousands while applying and using cutting edge practices and technologies!

As part of the Business Process team, you will have the opportunity to help us develop functionality as well as ensuring reliability for the next generation of tools based on a modern multi-tenant, server less architecture, that leverages AI and machine learning to help producers and managers schedule, plan and optimize resources efficiently in order to deliver their work on time and within constraints. You will be part of the product development team (Kraków) but will also be connected to a very experienced Central Operation Team (North America) who will provide guidance and share their expertise.

In this role you’ll be exposed to a broad and diverse range of technologies, services and tools including but not limited to: AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), Python 3, Jenkins, Docker, GitHub Enterprise, Amazon Web Services, S3, Lambdas, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, REST, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Appolo, SVG, D3, WebAssembly, Web Worker and more.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, architecture and implementation of new, state of the art functionality that relies on a high volume of data, efficient processing algorithms and performant data visualization
  • Participate in the development and architecture of highly scalable Cloud Services and tools related to cloud services development, deployment, and monitoring
  • Build and maintain fast and reliable build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins and Amazon CodePipeline
  • Implement the proper monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting tools allowing us to achieve the target SLO for our Cloud Services
  • Support the product development team for issues related to Cloud Services deployment and operations
  • Align with Autodesk Cloud best practices so the cloud services developed by your team can be offered on the Autodesk Platform for Media and Entertainment
  • Provide operational support for managing our cloud infrastructure.
  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation to respond to and resolve issues affecting the availability of our Cloud Services
  • Proactively collaborate with the Central Operation Team and others in researching, identifying, and implementing solutions that will ensure and improve our services quality and resilience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in information technology infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Very good knowledge of any programming language
  • Experience in software development lifecycle and agile principles
  • Working experience in one of the major cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services (Preferred), Google Cloud, MS Azure, etc.
  • Meaningful experience with large scale, high availability Cloud Services administration and deployment
  • Ability to understand and balance high-level concepts versus implementation details
  • Good oral and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon Cloud Formation and/or CDK
  • Knowledge of Go programming language would be a plus
  • Experience in maintaining Jenkins build and deployment pipelines
  • Experience building containerized solutions with Docker
  • Familiar with project management
  • Interest in Media and Entertainment industry
  • Advanced English knowledge
