Position Overview

Autodesk is one of the leading companies in computer graphics. The Graphics System Development Manager is accountable for managing and coordinating developers and processes to deliver the core unified graphics component which is widely integrated in Autodesk products. This component powers the best-in-class visualization Autodesk customers need for the rich interactions involved in computer-aided engineering & production. For that, he/she will work closely with customers, product engineering teams and graphics industry leader worldwide who strive for better graphics fidelity, performance and stability at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the coordination of the activities of graphics components engineering team in Shanghai office for the continuous deliver of the high-quality graphics components
  • Making decisions including costs, methods and staffing that supports the engineering and team growth needs. Setting clear expectations and providing strong support to team member’s career development
  • Championing engineering practices, tools and processes
  • Collaborating with product manager, engineering teams and industry leaders worldwide
  • Contribute to and lead the implementation of graphics strategic innovations

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, EE or related technical discipline
  • 8+ years including relevant managerial experience
  • 5+ experience working through large system software design and development and release cycle
  • Strong leadership, learning, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent and concise English communication, written and oral

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in modern computer graphics pipeline or SDK
  • Experience with shared component development
  • Familiar with scrum philosophy and practices
