Position Overview

Autodesk has an exciting opportunity within Customer Success for a position focused on helping our Automotive and Manufacturing Customers. As a Technical Consultant, your strong Alias and Dynamo knowledge will help our customers put innovative solutions into real world practice. You will define and validate software requirements and develop software applications to meet specifications that drive better business outcomes for our customers. You will act as a subject matter expert on customizations leveraging Autodesk product APIs. Using industry standard methodologies, you will produce technical design documentation, develop code, test applications, document user experience, and provide technical coaching and mentoring to customers and partners. You will analyze existing workflows and processes in the context of the customer’s business and project goals. Working with key business unit stakeholders and project teams, you will assist in defining new workflows, configuring software, training users, and mentoring project teams to ensure successful implementation. By documenting your engagement and applying a “train-the-trainer” approach, you will help our customer’s scale impactful solutions across their organization to achieve meaningful business results. You will also work closely with the Autodesk product teams to provide feedback based on client experiences and stay up to speed on product development roadmaps.

Location is Remote anywhere in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of existing workflows and processes
  • Process definition, planning, and implementation of new technologies and workflows
  • Provides innovate solutions to meet customer and industry challenges based on Autodesk product solutions
  • Lead implementation consulting engagements with customers
  • Apply Autodesk product sets to detailed industry requirements and workflows
  • Guide customers in the best application of Autodesk products; define and document detailed use cases
  • Configure solutions based on product capabilities and customer requirements
  • Define migration approach of customer data and standards into Autodesk products
  • Collaborates with customers (external), partners and internal stakeholders consulting groups (internal) to resolve technical issues
  • Provides feedback to product development groups on client experience for product and process improvements
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to customers to drive adoption and consumption
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to partners to enable the scalable delivery of packages service offerings
  • Contributes task estimation and task description in Scopes of Work as well as scope clarification with customers
  • Define software requirements specifications, validate architecture and software design
  • Develop software applications per standard development practices and architecture design
  • Document user experience and test developed applications
  • Assess customer’s current business process, recommend and implement Autodesk technology based custom solutions to meet customer’s needs
  • Produce written specifications to capture functional and non-functional requirements for proposed solutions and configuration activities, supporting solution development and deployment activities including delivery, acceptance testing, training and user-support
  • Estimates effort, resources required, documents implementation tasks, work breakdown structures, and risks associated to proposed solutions
  • Produce technical design documentation including diagrams in standard notations
  • Develop code using various technical skills including strong programming knowledge, as per agreed standards with built-in annotations for maintainability
  • Use software development tools to implement solutions using standard techniques like Agile, Waterfall etc.
  • Act as subject-matter expert on integrations and customizations leveraging Autodesk Product APIs
  • Lead and/or supervise and/or consult technical teams of varying sizes, including internal and external resources and project personnel, in order to facilitate project implementation. (May) manage subcontracted resources as necessary
  • May be required to engage in technical consulting activities at customer site. Test and troubleshoot solutions to ensure successful implementation
  • Provide input to sales and proposal presentations, identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organization and provide inputs to product team as customer’s champion
  • Maintain overview and understanding of Customer support case data
  • Provide technical advice to Account team with regards to customer product escalations
  • Travel up to 50%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or Equivalent
  • Experienced user of Autodesk Alias and Dynamo
  • Preferably Experienced in VRED, Shotgun, Maya, 3D StudioMax
  • Strong Facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical details logically, build relationships, and influence
  • Strong customer service skills including video communications and conflict resolution
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to define plausible solution definitions based on product and industry expertise
  • Ability to lead Customers in consulting engagements
  • Proven record of seamless execution of complex projects
  • Ability to present technical information to a live or virtual audience
  • Ability to set priorities of various assignments and complete them within allocated deadlines with little or no supervision
  • Excellent team player supporting and interacting with other members of a shared responsibility team
  • Self-motivated and proactive, possessing strong desire to learn
  • Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning and strategic skills

Target Pay for this Position (Colorado): $126,900
