Position Overview

The Autodesk Certification and Curriculum team is searching for a Senior Portfolio Manager to drive growth of our Autodesk Certification program. In this role, you will design business strategies, develop the market, and guide new product introductions to expand access and reach of Autodesk Certifications through internal and 3rd party partners, vendors, and programs connecting education to workforce.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Certification and Curriculum, the Portfolio Solutions Manager will have a significant impact on a highly visible global initiative that is key to our education strategy. This role works alongside a highly productive team of product management and content development professionals who create best-in-class, learning and certification experiences.

Successful candidates have deep knowledge in standards of practice among leading IT Certification programs and a proven track record of achieving audacious goals in lockstep with stakeholders. Success in the role looks like galvanizing Autodesk Certifications as the standard-bearing credentials to prove one’s skillset at the leading edge of the industries Autodesk serves.


  • Certification Strategic Business Planning & Program Design
    • Build and execute a strategic growth plan to achieve Autodesk Certification performance targets
    • Design and manage Autodesk Certification Program Benefits & Policies
    • Establish and refine global pricing to grow utilization and re-investment back into the business
    • Evaluate build/buddy/buy opportunities to develop translations and scaled delivery of certifications worldwide
  • Certification Market Development
  • Identify push/pull strategies to integrate Autodesk Certification program benefits into Internal and External partner programs aimed at Education and Workforce Development.
  • Propose and manage Certification Portfolio Solutions that extend Autodesk Certification’s brand and audience reach.
  • Certification Stakeholder Management
    • Socialize strategic plans and offerings across internal and external stakeholder groups.
    • Effectively guide New Product Introduction for successful market launches.
    • Work closely with the Autodesk Education team’s Go to Market strategists, Certification Product Managers, Content Developers, and Product Marketing to understand the target market segments our program reaches and pursue opportunities to connect certifications to customers who will benefit.
    • Communicate business, customer, and certification vendor requirements to platform and web development teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in portfolio management, market development, or equivalent role, ideally for technology and Saas companies.
  • 5+ years of experience in certification and/or learning related industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of crafting and delivering compelling narratives to champion and evangelize business goals with stakeholders and prospects.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build strong data-driven arguments, prioritize with business strategy in mind, and deliver clear return on investment.
  • Ability to connect vision to strategy to execution, building effective collaboration models that drive projects forward within a large organization across distributed teams.
  • Customer-centric problem-solver, who can empathize with customer pain points, deliver streamlined solutions, and ensure Autodesk Certification is poised to help candidates succeed in their education and career journeys.

Ideal Candidate

  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • Knows the general Certification business landscape inside and out, including key players in Certification solution space, both assessment delivery providers and comparator Certification programs.
  • Understands and can influence the Secondary and Post-Secondary Education-market decision-making context, Government policy environment, and Certification partner and channel distribution methods that influence buying and usage behavior.
  • Experience in key Autodesk industry verticals, such as Design & Manufacturing or Architecture, Engineering & Construction is a plus.
