Process Improvement Intern (Summer 2022)

Position Overview

The Process Improvement team enables Autodesk to be a Customer Company, by driving process innovation and continuous improvement activities across the organization. This role will work alongside Autodesk’s Six Sigma Black Belts to help apply process improvement concepts to business processes and will attend Autodesk’s Lean Six Sigma training program.

Location
At this point in time, Autodesk is planning for a virtual summer internship program.

Responsibilities & Objectives:

Using industry and academic research, identify the best practices for:

  • Cataloging processes within an organization
  • Creating and deploying standardized processes within an organization
  • Managing & maintaining standardized processes within an organization

Apply best practices to create a system to create/manage standardized processes

  • Build out the templates/process for creating and managing the processes in whatever platform is best suited for it (SharePoint, Wiki, Blueworks, etc.)

Identify and create standardize processes for a value stream at Autodesk

  • Join one of the value stream projects being led by the process improvement team and lead the creation of the standardized processes for that value stream.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age
  • Student must be actively enrolled in a degree granting academic institution or accredited boot camp at the time of internship.
  • Students must reside and attend university in the country where the internship is being offered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s in business-related field
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Customer focused and service oriented
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma – preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Project Management – preferred but not required
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-directed with exceptional follow-through

About the US Intern Program

The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development
