DroneUp is seeking a Systems Administrator that will be responsible for day to day management, improvements, maintenance, and configuration to the tools and hardware our users will use to communicate and stay productive with. The Systems Administrator will have a high level view of the current status of systems and an understanding of how they connect with each other. The Systems Administrator will also support, monitor, configure, and maintain cloud based, and on prem systems. This role will liaise with adjacent teams to increase internal communication, identify gaps in processes, and organize common efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop workflows, automation, processes or solutions to proactively prevent problems, improve user productivity and automate recurring tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining modern device management solutions using Windows 10, Android, iOS, and MacOS.
  • Packaging, testing and deploying applications for Windows 10, Android, iOS, and MacOS.
  • Configure network and other devices utilizing CLI & zero touch provisioning methods
  • Procure hardware, software, and other IT related equipment as needed.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to ensure all projects and deliverables are completed accurately and on time, including deployment of projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain and configure systems for large scale deployments / management of IoT, mobile (cellular), BYOD, and Linux devices.
  • Working within DroneUp’s various cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Assist in day-to-day project coordination and management of cloud resources, including troubleshooting problems and outages.
  • Monitor systems performance and create reports to management based on this information.
  • Respond to requests from change control, service outages, service requests, and act as a technical escalation resource to others on the team.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of related systems and implementations.
  • Ensure accountability for delivering well-tested, secure technologies that support DroneUp’s vision and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of system administration or engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of automated deployments with Intune & Autopilot.
  • Self-starter able to troubleshoot independently in downtime or outage situations with the ability to also work in a team environment.
  • Well versed in AD, Windows Updates, Group Policy and all Azure variants.
  • Experience supporting cloud based and SaaS applications including Okta, Intune, Atlassian products, and Google Workspace.
  • Understanding of API’s and how they are used to interconnect various applications and build workflows to provide efficient user lifecycle management.
  • Experienced in Zero Touch Provisioning methods for network and computer hardware.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Skilled in writing PowerShell & other scripting to help with automating tasks.
  • Understanding of meeting security compliance such as HIPAA, HiTrust, ISO, and PCI.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS, Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficient in configuration and installation of on prem hardware.
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts, practices, procedures, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of best practices around engineering, security and identity
