Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company seeks Software Engineering for its Charlotte, NC location.

Duties: Work in an agile environment to support and maintain mission-critical application development. Work with business users to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Participate in the entire software development life cycle – designing solutions, coding, unit testing, integrating, debugging applications, and configuring existing systems using Java, J2EE. Develop and maintain unit test scenarios using junit test cases, both automated and manual, to validate program functionality. Review team members’ code for optimization and performance. Using Log4j for logging. Prepare Technical design documents with class and sequence diagrams. Provide application support in test and production environments. Analyze issues, provide technical & functional support to the users and fix them. Setup continuous integration continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GIT, Microsoft Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Artificatory and Veracode. Develop solutions and configure automated tasks, including writing configuration files for deploying applications to the Kubernetes enabled platform. Packaging applications using Docker container technology. Implement Web-Services to integrate between different applications (internal and third-party components) using REST (representational state transfer) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) web services. Using JDBC, hibernate frameworks to connect with Oracle, SQL, MySQL DB and Mongo Database from Java application. Use Microservices architecture, with Spring Boot-based services interacting through a combination of REST and Spring Boot. Develop dynamic web pages using HTML5, CSS3, Angular, Bootstrap. Use Frontend frameworks JavaScript, Angulars and Angular for developing frontend components. Develop both front end and Backend (full stack) applications using different frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Servlets, Portlets, JavaScript, AngularJs, and Angular. Utilize different tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Postman, SoapUI, Google Analytics, Microsoft Azure Portal, GIT, Kubernetes Dashboard, Oracle SQL Developer. Use Maven to build script for application build. Using Veracode and SonarQube for code Validation to avoid violations.

Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a closely related IT field with 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or related IT position. Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in stated/related fields with 5 years of progressive, post-Baccalaureate experience in stated/related position. Full term of experience must include: Java (J2SE1.6,1.7,1.8); Web technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularJS, Angular, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap; JQuery, Ajax, XML, JSON; Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB; Spring (MVC, Boot, Batch, Security), Hibernate, JDBC, REST web services, LDAP; Microsoft Azure; and GIT. 40 hours/week.
