Your team responsibilities

MSCI, Inc. seeks Senior Associate in Boston, MA to design and develop web applications within the WealthBench platform used by clients in wealth advisory and private banking.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and update the architecture of the application.
  • Maintain and help support existing software services.
  • Build and deploy release kits and support the product releases.
  • Develop the datasets needed for reports as well as working with client design department to implement the white labeled report to match client branding.
  • Design and implement daily batch jobs to generate client portfolio statistics on daily basis and deliver it to clients.
  • Add new features and update architecture of the application.
  • Work with client coverage team to discuss on new requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot of daily batch runs of client feeds.
  • Work on moving application to cloud.
  • Convert application into scalable reusable module.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing software engineering systems including Jira, Hudson, Eclipse IDE, InteliJ, Subversion; performing operating systems administration and application troubleshooting for Windows and Unix/Linux; performing Java development within the context of a service-oriented architecture; utilizing JavaScript, JSP, and Servlets; working with database technologies including Oracle and MSSQL skills; using PL SQL, schema design and Oracle DB performance tuning; working with advanced Oracle Database concepts; performing the full Software lifecycle in CI/CD utilizing source code control and release/dependency management; working with Lucene cache and search library; utilizing multi-tiered distributed architecture frameworks; working with SOAP, Web Services, XML schema/dtd design, XML, and java binding; designing frameworks utilizing Java in financial domains; utilizing JPA/Hibernate for Object relational persistence; and performing client-side JavaScript development experience to include AJAX. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
