Associate Director, Investor Relations: Buy-side Engagement & Corporate Access

    Summary of the Position :

    We are seeking a creative, resourceful, and collaborative Associate Director, Corporate Access & Buy-side Engagement​ to join a rapidly growing and dynamic biotechnology company’s Investor Relations team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Investor Relations, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of investor relations activities.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

    • Lead strategy and development of an active IR event calendar to ensure impactful engagement with the buy-side community, including targeting investor conferences and coordinating NDRs
    • Implement investor targeting strategy to support diversification of investor base
    • Implement investor tiering strategy to guide outreach and engagement efforts
    • Optimize banking conference calendar and senior management attendance
    • Draft internal briefing documents ahead of events and debriefs following events
    • Prioritize scheduling requests for shareholder and target investor meetings to ensure alignment with engagement strategy
    • Lead development of materials for Novavax’ management and Board of Directors
    • Quarterly shareholder analytics reporting
    • Quarterly Board of Directors report, including overview of sell-side and buy-side activity
    • Ad-hoc reporting, as needed
    • Support Novavax’ IR team on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to the following:
    • Conduct investor outreach following major milestones
    • Provide recommendations for engagement with new investors
    • Under supervision of Senior Director, Investor Relations, partner with legal department to organize annual meeting of shareholders, including managing timeline for deliverables, such as venue and vendor selection
    • Lead development and maintenance of investor-facing materials, including:
    • Investor-focused press releases
    • Investor factsheets
    • Investor section of corporate website
    • Under supervision of Senior Director, Investor Relations, partner with other communications functions to support build-out and execution of Novavax’ retail shareholder engagement plan, including:
    • Development and maintenance of an Individual Shareholder Center to meet the needs of our retail holders
    • Manage timeline of deliverables
    • Assist in developing and curating communications materials
    • Oversee IR email inbox monitoring including:
    • Meeting and information requests
    • Thematic analysis of inquiries and feedback after major announcements
    • Recaps to Investor Relations team
    • Partner with Nasdaq surveillance to identify key market movers
    • Evaluate shareholder conversion ratio
    • Assist in responding timely to requests for information from external stakeholders
    • Other IR tasks as assigned

    Minimum Requirements :

    • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required; Masters preferred
    • 7-9 years working experience with a minimum of 5+ years relevant financial experience in investment banking, equity research, investor relations, consulting, corporate finance, or related fields
    • Understanding of capital markets ecosystem
    • Exceptional oral and written communications and presentation skills (strong emphasis on PowerPoint acumen)
    • A professional, outgoing personality with a high level of energy, a strong work ethic, resourcefulness and flexibility
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, team player and self-starter; commitment to excellence skills, excellent attention to detail and diligence in deadline-driven environment
    • Ability to manage diverse priorities with positive outcomes
    • Willingness to work on projects across the department
    • A person with an insatiable appetite to learn more and a strong passion for the biotechnology industry
