    Market Access Director

    My client, a leading global healthcare consultancy, are in the process of building out their EU division. They are seeking an experienced Pricing and Market Access Associate Director to join the Senior leadership team. Within this role you will be servicing a range of pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics clients across a broad range of activities. You will be leading all Market Access projects including; Pricing, reimbursement, strategy and payer research, across the EU, US and APAC markets. They are looking for a ‘hands on’ individual that can work in close collaboration with senior members of the business to provide clients with the most effective Market Access solutions.

    Position Summary

    Company Leadership

    • Grow San Francisco, both from a business and talent perspective
    • As a member of Senior Leadership Team, provide intellectual leadership in developing the firm’s capabilities

    Client Development

    • Have strong relationships and an established book of business with leading large-cap west coast pharma and biotech companies
    • Successfully articulate the firm’s capabilities to develop new client relationships and secure new business
    • Partner with leadership to expand existing client relationships, particularly by meeting west coast market needs
    • Be responsible for generating at least $3 to $5 million in revenue annually (achieved through new incremental revenue from new clients and supporting existing clients)

    Staff Progression

    • Take ownership of strategic advisory west coast hiring and progression of staff
    • Engage staff in business development opportunities as appropriate to facilitate their growth
    • Identify development opportunities for staff and provide guidance to enable their success

    Project Leadership

    • Provide leadership to assigned staff to ensure superb execution on client engagements
    • Set strategic direction for project activities, guiding managers on daily tasks and resource allocation

    Requirements

    Work Experience

    • Ideal candidate has 8+ years in life science consulting

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree with a life science focus
    • Advanced degree with a life science focus, or an MBA with a demonstrated interest in the life science field is preferred

    Other Skills

    • Demonstrated expert in the healthcare and life sciences landscape
    • Demonstrated success with client development in a growth-oriented business environment
    • Strong staff development experience
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal relations skills
    • Excellent quantitative skills and direct experience with complex commercial analyses
    • Above average proficiency in MS Office Suite and other consulting-related software
    • Desire and ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
