The Swift Platforms Experience team is looking for a manual qa engineer who is also passionate about managing hardware and building relationships. In addition to managing hardware, you will also help test some of Apple’s major frameworks including SwiftUI, UIKit, Foundation and Xcode Previews. As a member of our team, you will work with multiple software development and hardware management organizations. You will use your knowledge of our features and testing strategies to allocate and distribute development hardware and identify and resolve supply issues in support of software engineering. We are searching for a hard-working individual who has the capability to balance technical knowledge coupled with proactive customer service in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.

You will work in a multi-functional team which is responsible for testing many projects on Apple’s platforms. You will work closely with engineering to drive quality and validate submissions. You will also collaborate with hardware allocation teams and engineering teams to request, organize and distribute hardware. In this role you will be responsible for: – Testing and validating incoming software changes – Partnering with engineering and hardware allocation teams to ensure that all teams get the necessary development hardware needed to deliver their projects – Organizing and distributing devices as they become available – Maintaining a library of devices to support the ongoing needs of the teams – Attending hardware roadmap meetings and summarizing and communicating progress and changes in the status of hardware projects
Education & Experience
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills
