Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking an analyst to join its Private Capital Advisory team in New York. Private Capital Advisory is a rapidly growing and critically important strategic initiative for Guggenheim Securities. The team advises private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate sponsors with a focus on GP-led secondary transactions such as continuation funds, while also advising investors on structured LP secondary transactions such as collateralized fund obligations.

Candidates will join a highly collaborative team that works very closely with industry bankers on its transactions. GS offers a unique opportunity to work on deal teams with meaningful exposure to senior bankers and clients. Analysts play an integral role in enhancing client relationships, new business development and transaction execution—providing critical support on all workstreams. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.

Analysts become important members of our deal teams and work on a variety of interesting strategic advisory assignments. You will have significant exposure to senior bankers, private equity sponsors, institutional investors as well as the ability to create meaningful relationships across the firm.

Essential Job Functions

  • Preparation of client materials including pitch decks and regular market updates for private equity sponsors
  • Drive process management during live deals—creating marketing materials (CIM, teaser), tracking investor feedback, facilitating NDA negotiations and summarizing investor bids
  • Perform financial and valuation analysis such as building fund-level waterfalls, fund-level exit projections and sensitivities
  • Conduct market research including identifying industry trends
  • Gather and analyze information, develop, and communicate recommendations to senior team
  • Develop an in depth understanding of secondary advisory deal process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experinece in investment banking, private equity, asset management or corporate finance is a plus
  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to interface with top private equity sponsors, secondary investors, and internal senior management
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective process management abilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree
