About the Trust

South Tees is the largest hospital Trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in several community hospitals. It is easily accessible via car and public transport. There is an onsite staff restaurant and a coffee shop. There are various shops which include M&S and WHSmith.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • General admin duties; filing, scanning, and photocopying
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries
  • Opening post
  • Emailing GPs with medication changes
  • Working for a team of specialist nurses
  • Actioning referral letters

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust: * An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous experience in an office environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
