Techwan an Everbridge company is currently seeking an IT Support Engineer to be based in Switzerland.
Do you want to save lives and keep business running – faster? We work with critical response teams to get them to critical emergencies – faster. You will enhance the operators experience to dramatically improve the information exchange with field operators (ambulance, fire service, police, etc.).
In this role as an IT Support Engineer your job will be to provide technical assistance and support to external customers and internal employees. You will be responsible for responding to all requests, using internal resources and prioritize backlog.
About the Candidate
Candidates will ideally already have considerable experience on a technical level and have a customer facing operations role within a mission critical customer/application support environment. The candidate would typically have gained at least 3 years “hands on” working experience supporting customer applications and providing technical and customer leadership within a support organization.
 
This position will expose the candidate to many aspects of command-and-control systems. Candidates must be able to demonstrate methodical and logical problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to communicate succinctly to customers. The right candidate will be highly motivated individual who prides themselves on quality outcomes and a high customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

  • Incident Management (1st/2nd level).
  • Analyzing and solving problems concerning the Everbridge products as reported by the customer (according to the Service Levels).
  • Providing feedback to the Everbridge Platform Engineering teams and product management teams on ways to improve the resilience of the platforms under management.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to client reported issues
  • Reporting progress of escalated incidents/changes to customers and internal management.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive support documentation
  • Resolve issues via phone, mails, JIRA tickets
  • Log bugs, feature requests, service requests, tasks
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years (hands on) experience in Windows and Linux environment.
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills whilst working internally, and externally with Customers.
  • Fluent in French and English (verbal and in writing), German is nice to have
  • Self-motivated, flexible, innovative, team spirit and drive to deliver through others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, experienced in supporting business critical systems.
  • Excellent Customer Facing, being able to adapt to culture and habits of the customer.
