The mission
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the IT Technician – Hardware specialist intern role is to support the IT Team on all operational aspects around IT Hardware assets lifecycle: stock and orders follow-up, logistic, user assistance, documentation, etc
This position will also allow the intern to contribute to process definitions/improvements and related projects, for example, the standardization of our logistics processes or the deployment of new services.
IT Hardware includes personal hardware Macbook, Headset, Access Pass) and shared hardware (Printers, Meeting Rooms, etc).

Key missions

    • Stock Management:
    • Ensure accurate hardware assets inventory, internally and with our logistic partners
    • Anticipate equipment procurement to ensure sufficient stock for Newcomers and Hardware requests
    • Hardware requests:
    • Onboarding: prepare and coordinate Hardware shipment for Newcomers, internally and with external partners
    • Daily run: qualify/troubleshoot/solve Hardware requests, either for personal or shared hardware; improve documentation/policy for recurring requests
    • Offboarding: ensure all IT hardware is returned and reset devices for Spare or coordinate with partners for recycling
    • Do regular control to ensure shared hardware is operational (printers, meeting rooms, monitors, etc)
    • Device Management:
    • Ensure the information in the MDM is up to date with laptop status (active, spare, etc)
    • Ensure all active laptops are up to date and assist users when necessary
    • Participate in internal workshops to improve Device Management service
    • User assistance:
    • Serve as the primary support contact for IT hardware requests (using our ticketing system)
    • Ensure coordination with our logistics partners
    • Provide follow up to the users
    • Document user guides to facilitate users’ autonomy
    • IT Operations:
    • Based on your field experience, propose improvements for the efficiency of the IT team
    • Work with the teams to help automate/optimize IT Hardware processes
    • Update IT Operations processes (ex: onboarding/offboarding) as needed
    • Document all procedures supporting IT Hardware operations
    • Review and recommend backup solutions

Experience:

    • Scholarship / jobs around IT support
    • Good skills on Google Sheets
    • Technical knowledge of MacOS devices is a plus
