Bond Williams Accounting & Finance are recruiting an Accounts Assistant within the Assurance and Business Services area of a well established, large accountancy firm in Southampton. This office primarily services SMEs, typically entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses as well as not for profit, pension and residential housing clients.
Reporting to the Manager, you will be liaising with the audit team to ensure that financial statements are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis to allow audits to be completed and deadlines met.
- Preparation of annual financial statements including statutory accounts and consolidated financial statement for group clients
- Interacting with clients over the telephone, email and occasional on site visits
- Liaising with audit and tax teams
- Sharing ideas to improve efficiencies
You will need to have good academics GCSEs A-C and/or A Levels or relevant Accounting degree and ideally some previous practice accounting experience and practical knowledge of cloud based accounting software such as Exact or Xero. Most importantly you will need to have a client focussed attitude to meet or exceed expectations, be team orientated, an eye for detail and commercial awareness.
