Account Director – Programmatic

The Role

This role is responsible and accountable for the performance of programmatic revenue from Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies across JCDecaux UK.

What you’ll be doing

Account Director Programmatic – ITD/IDA

Purpose

This is an exciting new role that sits within a newly formed team at JCDecaux who has responsibility for all programmatic revenue across the UK. This role is responsible and accountable for the performance of programmatic revenue from Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies across JCDecaux UK. You are responsible for managing and delivering strategic partnerships and creating professional and profitable relationships with digital partners to generate maximum revenue for the Company.

You will need to understand the programmatic marketplace, be commercially minded, and have superb attention to detail. You will have experience selling programmatic solutions to Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies and have existing contacts in this space. You will work closely with the Programmatic team to ensure that we maximise programmatic revenues.

This role is expected to evolve as programmatic revenue grows. We’re looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach, and who is happy to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

Impact

Demand Generation & Revenue Performance

  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems to demonstrably drive revenue via programmatic means.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing objectives and tactics to influence the media decision.
  • Build relationships with from Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies to grow programmatic revenue for JCDecaux.
  • Active involvement in tailored client planning sessions, hosting, presenting and educating key stakeholders about programmatic OOH’s role in the media mix, with a focus on accessing Digital budgets in line with our wider business narrative.
  • Show awareness of strengths and weaknesses of other media and a detailed understanding of clients’ business, marketing and media objectives.
  • Be responsible for Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies programmatic revenues including accurate measurement and forecasting.

  • Develop and share innovative approaches, considering the wider impact and implications for the business

Knowledge of Media and Marketing

  • Understand the media supply chain and the ecosystems that exists within it.
  • Strong technical knowledge of programmatic, with an ability to simplify and communicate in a

clear, jargon-free manner that focusses on the customer benefit.

  • Proven knowledge of Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies and key contacts
  • Understand media planning concepts and marketing tactics, such as those included within our P2+C=5 publication.

Qualifications

  • Established in their field for media (Digital/Programmatic).
  • Proven sales track record Independent Trading Desks and Independent Digital Agencies
  • Demonstrate having successfully worked with complex or high-profile customers and accounts as team leader.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
