DESCRIPTION

Prime Video Japan is searching for an exceptional Senior Social Media Marketer with a genuine passion for TV, movies and content to join our social media team to help build the future of entertainment. The Senior Social Media Manager will lead planning, development and execution of social-first integrated marketing campaigns. These campaigns will engage audiences across our social platforms through paid social media, editorial content and influencer partnerships to create end-to-end customer journey experiences. You will own all social/editorial content decisions for the campaigns and platforms you own, driving both long-term strategy, campaigns and day-to-day social editorial decisions for our exciting movies, anime and original content. You will work with internal teams including Content Acquisition/Development, Creative, PR and the Prime Video app platform team. You will also work externally with creative agencies, influencers, content creators, and social media and digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube. Together with these partners, you will build integrated social-first campaigns that are best-in-class customer experiences to help us grow our brand.

The successful candidate is an experienced senior marketing & communications manager with a proven track record delivering integrated marketing campaigns. This includes using social media platforms and influencer partnerships to create exciting audience experiences. This candidate will also have a strong ability to develop campaign strategies from scratch, sell big ideas internally and externally, multi-task and prioritize using insights and learnings to make data-driven decisions. Success in this role requires excellent customer instincts to connect our brand’s editorial voice with our audience’s passion for entertainment. The candidate will do this through a deep understanding of social media culture and trends, including knowledge of social platform and community behavior to create compelling, authentic and innovative content. You will need to possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things with minimal direction. Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas and establish best practices for Prime Video.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead creative ideation, develop and execute innovative campaigns for our audiences including titles (movies/tv), Prime Video brand, genre (e.g. anime), and seasonal campaigns.
  • Develop editorial social content across our platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube) to drive follower growth and engagement.
  • Work closely and collaboratively across ATL marketing, PR and content teams to champion social-first ideas and execute activations, events and strategies.
  • Efficiently create highly topical trending content to increase Prime Video’s brand relevance, foster global social conversation and build vibrant communities
  • Manage agencies and oversee always-on content development, performance and campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations ahead of competitors
  • Develop performance metrics for Prime Video brand social handles; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making continuous improvement
  • Build deep relationships with Amazon talent and showrunners to increase campaign excitement
  • Continuously ideate and innovate to find new and exciting ways to engage audiences to drive awareness, conversation and affinity for the Prime Video brand and its original content.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills in Japanese and confident communication skills in English.
  • Strong experience leading, developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns (using social media)
  • Strong editorial, copywriting and/or social media content production experience.
  • Experience working in or with creative agencies in Japan
  • Experience growing and managing social brand channels at significant scale.
  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • University Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Creative thinking with a passion for big ideas that push the boundaries.
  • Editorial experience, ideally with a digital content publisher
  • Analytic and quantitative skills
  • Ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting to continually changing priorities, nuanced feedback, and aggressive project time frames.
  • Digital paid media experience, ideally within social media (biddable, high impact, custom, influencers)
  • Experience working with influencers and/or social content creators (e.g. YouTube, Tik Tok)
  • Background or passion for the entertainment industry, especially TV and film
