Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a world class industrial manufacturing partner leader to drive enterprise digital transformation initiatives with strategic service and technology partners. As a Strategic Partner Manager within AWS, you will accelerate adoption of AWS cloud services through the programmatic development of partner competencies, services and solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with cross functional teams to create and execute partner programs aligned to our strategic priority areas: 1/Engineering and Design (E&D), 2/Smart Manufacturing, 3/Supply Chain, 4/Smart Products and Services, and 5/Sustainability
  • Serve as a key member of the Partner Leadership Team in helping drive AWS go-to-market engagements with our customers through our Partners.
  • Work with AWS Partner Sales & Business Development teams, drive proactive of ROI/economic conversations with our partners.
  • Develop ROI frameworks and run forecast models to demonstrate business value to AWS and the Partner.
  • Prepare and present business reviews to the senior management team
  • Establish AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud computing platform
  • Understand the technical requirements of each partner BU/LoB and work closely with the internal AWS development team to guide the direction of partner product offerings
  • Prepare and give business reviews to AWS and partner senior leaders
  • Manage complex contract negotiations involving legal, marketing and business terms
  • Serve as a leader helping to define and deliver the overall go-to-market strategy with the partner globally

A day in the life
Responsibilities include building C-level relationships at partner organizations and within AWS, creating long term vision statement and strategic plans to support your partner’s objectives to build cloud businesses, and establishing strategic agreements to execute on the shared plan that drives top line revenue growth. You will work with AWS partners to build or transform their business by engaging with C-level leaders, facilitating workshops, and driving to a particular business transformational outcome that includes new business models, offerings and staffing plans. Demonstrated experience and ability to guide executives through change management and establishing long term strategies is a must.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in partner alliances and business development in the cloud technology/services segment
  • 10+ years experience engaging and influencing partner senior executives and familiarity with decision making processes across global consulting firms and ISV organizations
  • 10+ years experience working with partners through enablement/education, account management, competency development, program management and business development
  • 10+ years experience working and communicating with executive stakeholders and cross functional teams including marketing, solution architect teams, product management and account teams
  • 10+ years experience sales and technical acumen with an ability to build scalable pipeline build programs that result in the closing of strategic wins

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Consistently exceeds key performance metrics
  • Prior experience working with Systems Integrators and Consulting Companies to achieve GTM and sales booking objectives
  • Prior direct sales and partner experience is preferred
  • Able to consistently meet timelines, deliverables and exceed key performance metrics
  • Prior experience running funding programs and deploying those programs globally with proven ROI methodology
  • Prior program management and alliance experience is preferred
