Responsibilities

Ecommerce’s Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules, and systems to ensure quality. We are looking for Seller Governance Policy Implementation and Programmes managers to join our team and implement policies, serve as a bridge for feedback on policy implementation and process effectiveness, success rates, as well as lead improvement programmes.

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for sellers’ compliance management and develop data-driven strategies and enforcement approaches to enable the e-commerce business, evaluate sellers’ behaviours, including product listing behaviour, fulfillment and services. The focus is on South-East Asia (SEA) but you may also support other international launches.
2. Investigate sensitive and critical escalations, review and implement our strategies and policies, taking into account our rules, business impact, and local market as well as regulatory conditions.
3. Gather, and analyze data, metrics, and trends and work with sister teams to identify gaps, opportunities, risks, and develop improvement plans across the seller governance lifecycle.
4. Conduct RCA and identify opportunities in the implementation process and lead efforts to optimize strategic process and product gaps (e.g. identifying product solutions to automate enforcement, increasing productivity with new internal tools).
5. Develop and monitor dashboards to identify seller governance risks and partner with sister teams to ensure that we pre-emptively manage associated risks.
6. Lead programmes to stress-test our policies and enforcement methods against black swan events across the seller lifecycle.
7. Build up Governance and Experience teams’ understanding of regulatory developments in SEA markets, focusing on developments that will affect our seller and listing strategies and policies.
8. Engage with sellers to deep-dive into challenges, and develop seller operational improvement plans.

Qualifications

1. Strong bachelor’s degree or above.
2. +3 years of hands on and in-depth experience on e-commerce governance and implementation, or programme management or consulting or risk management-related functions.
3. You have a proven record of driving organisational or process changes; excellent cross-functional project management skills and experience working with international partners.
4. Excellent coordination skills and communication skills across multiple cross-functional teams to build plans and projects.
5. Familiar with SEA E-commerce compliance requirements and internet governance management, with a certain level of business sensitivity and risk awareness.
6. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
7. Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully within ambiguity, with multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment.
8. Experience with analytical tools (like Excel or SQL) to drive analytics and reporting. Data interpretation is required in this role.
9. Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including the ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing. Proficiency in another SEA language is a plus.
