Job summary
AWS Talent Acquisition is a fast growing global recruiting organization. We are looking for a senior executive assistant with a history of high performance and delivering results. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key partner to the leader of a top recruiting org. The Executive Assistant will act as a seamless extension of the VP and the leadership team.

The individual in this role must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company is critical. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the whole picture. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group.

Key job responsibilities
• Responsibilities for this position include the ability to play a leadership role with the broader EA team, to think and plan ahead, and manage time effectively. Other key responsibilities include:
• Management of complex calendar and scheduling to support teams in multiple locations
• Manage domestic and international travel
• Manage expense report coordination and submission
• Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, and team social events)
• Recruit, mentor and develop other Executive Assistants within the org to provide seamless support to the leadership team
• Have fun at work and help the teams do the same

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School or equivalent diploma
  • 5+ years of experience providing support to senior leadership or 3+ years Amazon experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Detailed planning, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross functionally, and manage multiple inputs from different teams into a single deliverable
• Experience with domestic and/or international travel coordination
• Experience providing executive support assistance at senior management levels
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Able to handle administrative details independently, while keeping stakeholders appropriately informed or engaged
• Ability to apply sound business judgment
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company
• Calm under pressure, and the ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to improve processes
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
