The company chose Panama as being best suited to establish its new Global Business Services (GBS) operation center. This new center will initially deliver Finance, Human Resources and Legal services to ELC employees across several geographies and time zones. Through a new innovative service minded approach, this center will redefine service standards globally at ELC. This new GBS team will provide a one-stop-shop solution for the ELC businesses, supported by new customer engagement insights, new systems, and new reporting. In addition to delivering exceptional service to the ELC businesses each day, the GBS team will also be responsible for continuously streamlining work in pursuit of growing its service offering in support of achieving ELC’s strategic and business objectives. New site, new team, new opportunity.Position Overview:Global Deployment Planner & Inventory Position is an individual contributor role. The role will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for inventory deployment from global to regional hubs
- Responsible to execute – executional horizon strategic allocations defined by GDP
- Responsible to execute inventory deployment prioritization [inventory balancing] from global to regional/affiliate hubs defined by GDP in response to demand and supply disruption in executional horizon
- Responsible for reporting on inventory levels and fill rate at the hub
- Responsible for operational and manual tasks related to Distribution requirements planning and inventory movements
- Responsible for Expiring Stock Reporting and Action
QualificationsRoles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing tasks driven by GDP to maintain proper inventory to fulfill demand requirements, at category, brand and SKU levels.
- Requires frequent collaboration with GDP
- Prepares reports and recommendations on critical demand-supply risks [via smart alerts and advanced planning inputs] in the short-term executional horizon, suggesting mitigation of supply shortfalls with active management of inventory across nodes in the supply network
- Implement Plan deployment parameters change as instructed by GDP to optimize costs and fill rates
- Monitor inventory deployment, provide analytics to GDP and execute expedited shipment requirements recommended by GDP
- Manage and implement changes on master and transactional data as global plan inputs, in collaboration with cross-functional planning
- Responsible for reporting preparation and reporting health of global DRP plan and attainment to global planning leadership, at regional and hub level, providing oversight of key performance indicators based on global fill rate & inventory optimization and cost reduction
- Responsible for inventory deployment from global to regional hubs – Manual Shipment Creation and tracking, as indicated by reports or GDP
- Responsible to execute inventory deployment prioritization [inventory balancing] from global to regional/affiliate hubs defined by GDP in response to demand and supply disruption in executional horizon
- Responsible for operational tasks related to Distribution requirements planning: Network Maintenance execution (fill and kill), Large Shipment Split, Returns Authorization Processing
- Responsible for manual tasks related to inventory movements and execution: Quality Notification Management, DAV Creation, Air Freight (AFA) Creation, Network Blocking (TLB, AH, Regulatory Holds), Registration Check,
- Responsible for Expiring Stock Reporting and Action
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong analytical skills to achieve excellence in inventory optimization and deployment
- Ability to work under pressure, time constraints, with a large group of team members and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, able to successfully manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously
- Ability to build sharp and concise reports, and tactfully navigate multiple cross-functional, matrixed stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and quick to react and respond to changes
- Strong understanding of supply base, industry trends, and product knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field (minimum)
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in material scheduling, supply planning, sourcing / purchasing and supplier management within the beauty / cosmetic industry
- Knowledge of, and experience with supply planning and inventory management tools (e.g., SAP, Advanced Planning Systems, etc.)
- Expert knowledge in distribution and inventory management techniques, processes and policies
