Our plans to expand into the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will also cultivate talent to serve Hong Kong and the wider metropolitan GBA.For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk.We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:Part-Time Technical Assistant – 3D Game Developer (R7501) (A&SS) (Ref: 24002B5)Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointees shall mainly assist the research team in a research project “Virtual Reality-based Driving Training System” (R7501). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Designing and developing VR-based training system using Unity;
- Creating 2D/3D/audio game assets for the use of the system;
- Integrating machine learning based algorithm into the system;
- Assisting the Principal Investigator/supervisors to prepare experiments; and
- Conducting other ad-hoc research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.
CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- Full-time undergraduate of University, preferably in Creative/Interactive Media, Computer Science, or any related;
- Intermediate knowledge and experience in Unity/Unreal development and Unity C# / Unreal C++ programing is a must for the role of 3D Game Developer;
- Understanding of interactive 3D simulation in virtual reality or augmented reality would be an advantage;
- Intermediate knowledge on research and developing machine learning based computer vision application will be an advantage;
- Fresh graduates are welcome, and candidates who have intention to pursue a research postgraduate degree is preferable;
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, organized, responsible, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work independently; and
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Terms and Conditions for AppointmentSuccessful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Payment will be made on hourly basis. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
