The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI). He/she will support PI to conduct a research in a carbon emission prediction analysis of through advanced machine learning technique. He/she will assist in literature review, developing machine learning models. He/she will also be responsible for performing linear regression, decision trees, random forests, support vector machines, deep neural networks, and time series analysis as assigned by the PI. The appointee also need to help on the drafting report in this research.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a recognised degree in Computer Science, environmental management, data science, or related disciplines; or equivalent level of study.
He/she should have research experience in machine learning algorithms and leveraging domain expertise and integrating it with ML-based approaches. He/she should have good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
Notes:
(1) Candidates may be appointed on temporary or part-time employment.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at Tsing Yi Campus.
