Yalata Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community in the Anangu Lands Partnership, on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia. We are in a unique location, just a short drive to the Head of Bight with whale watching season each year and where beautiful beaches with great fishing and surfing are accessible. Use your weekends to explore the incredible country around you and get to know the Southern Right and Humpback whales as they make their way along the coast between June and October.
The school has a strong focus on developing oral literacy and phonological awareness, reading and writing, together with developing social and emotional school readiness.
We are looking for a passionate senior teacher to teach across yrs 7-12 and provide SACE support to our Senior Fellas class. If you are unfamiliar with SACE, this can be supported. Where applicable, students have opportunities to access Wiltja College for their SACE years.

Successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the Yalata Lands, as per the local Aboriginal Community Council.
To ensure employer compliance of duty of care responsibilities given the unique environment of the Yalata Lands, a wellness check will be conducted for any Teacher nominated for this position and prior to any offer of employment.Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
